Founded in 1971, meetings were originally held in the home of Mrs Spottiswood
More than 50 years later, we're now a very well established & supportive group who welcome new members & visitors to join our weekly meetings every Tuesday
The Burdekin Art Society involves local & regional members, with both amateur and professional experience in most fine art mediums.
The society fosters the Arts by holding field trips, seminars, exhibitions and visiting tutors. Charity work is also undertaken and each year a special project for the community takes place.
Each year our members participate in judging artwork for the Junior Eisteddfod.

Each year we hold our annual Art Exhibition in conjunction with the Burdekin Water Festival during August/September.
We also exhibit at the Home Hill Harvest Festival during November.
